Profiles help you manage your calls by directing
where the call goes and what your caller hears. You can create as
many profiles as you like, with popular profiles being "Follow
Me", "In a Meeting", etc.
When you design a "Follow Me" Profile, Bird Talk will
then direct your calls to that phone, screening each call as it
comes in. In the case of where you don’t want to be reached,
it will simply go to voicemail. Your most important profiles will
be your "Follow Me" profiles, which we will set up.
Before you set up a profile you will need to set
up a location.
To create a profile:
1. Log on to www.birdviewtalk.com.
2. Click on the "Add Profile" button under the "Profiles"
section.

3. Now you will need to name your profile, the name of your profile
will depend on the combination of customized call routing, greeting
and notification services selected. Your three choices for call
routing types are:
Follow Me This profile will enable you to screen
phone calls and be reached up to four different locations. This
works well when you are in and out of the office and it might be
difficult for your clients to get in contact with you.
Greeting Only This profile will send your callers
directly to voice mail, this is a good profile to use when you are
in a meeting and do not want to be disturbed.
Forward This profile will forward calls directly
to the phone number you designate. This is a good profile to use
when you are at at specific location and are available to take phone
calls.
The most common profile people set up is the follow me profile.
The following instructions will teach you how to set up a typical
profile. Type in "Follow me" in the "Profile Name"
field and select "Follow Me" as the call routing type.

4. In the Find Me section, select up to four locations. When you
set up the "Follow Me" profile, it is a good idea to make
all four locations your "Cell Phone". That way if you
are temporarily out of range, you will still get the call.

5. Now that you have selected your "Find Me" locations
scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Apply Changes"
Button.

Congratulations, you have just created your first profile!
